This song, like many other Gilbert’s songs, incorporates some of the exercises and licks that Gilbert usually uses in his style.

First of all you need to know that this song is supposed to be played using the alternate picking technique, and you need to be an intermediate to advanced alternate picking player. In order to easily learn to play this song (or any other) it is vital that you focus on each part of the song and work on it until it you can play it flawlessly and without much effort. Only then you should move on to the next part. After you learn the next part, then you can connect the two parts and so on.

That way you won’t waste your time on trying to play large sections of the song where there is only one or two lines in that section you should really be focusing on. And if at any point you find yourself obsessively repeating this whole line because of some bit you have trouble playing, you should stop trying to play the whole line and only practice that one bit. That way of learning gives the best and quickest results.

I hope you'll have fun learning this one and if you need any help, please leave a comment or discuss it on the forum.
