In this lesson we are going to see how to play both the organ and guitar solos of the song Highway Star by Deep Purple. The organ solo that Jon Lord performed in this song has been adapted to be played on the guitar making use of cool guitar techniques. The guitar solo has been played respecting the original position and licks that Ritchie Blackmore did.

These solos make use of a lot of techniques such as bending, vibrato, slide, legato, hammer ons, pull offs, etc. and include a lot of amazing ideas, licks and phrases which will surely inspire you in your own playing.

The whole song has been divided into sections, so that you can locate them really easily in tabs (in PDF and GP5 & 6). Each section is shown in slow speed and in full detail (high definition videos).

Backing tracks are included (in normal and slow speed). In this lesson I have also included the videos of the two complete solos (guitar and organ) played slowly, so that you can learn them, play along and practice until you are ready to perform them at normal speed.

You can’t miss out on the opportunity to learn how to play two of the best solos in the history of rock!
