Lesson 4 is playing arpeggiated chords with a pick (plectrum). Arpeggio is Italian for 'broken chord' so this means playing chords one note at a time

Simple chords using lots of open strings and a maximum of 2 fingers per chord, so you can concentrate on getting used to the picking.
